Singing Valentines
What is a Singing Valentine?
On February 14, quartets from the Harbormasters dress in their traditional Valentine wear , travel throughout the Beaufort community to surprise the lucky recipients of a “Singing Valentine”. The Valentines consist of a love song (or two) sung in four-part harmony, a beautiful long stem rose provided by Carolina Floral Design and a card with a brief personal message from the sender.
When are Singing Valentines Available?
Singing Valentines in 2023will take place Tuesday, February 14, from 8:30 AM till 8:00 PM. To purchase a Singing Valentine, follow the two steps outlined below.
Summary of costs for Singing Valentines:
The basic fee during the daytime, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, is $50. From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm the fee is $75. There is a $15 surcharge during both day and evening deliveries for Valentines that must be delivered within a 15 minute period. A one pound box of chocolates from The Chocolate Tree is $25; Long stemmed roses are provided by Carolina Floral Design. An e-Valentine, costs $20. The quartet sings a love song and shares with the recipient your message for the day via email..
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Time guidelines: We cannot guarantee the exact time of our arrival and ask that you give us a spread of one to two hours when possible.
Place guidelines: We deliver throughout most of the Beaufort area. Please be specific, with extra details if appropriate. The Singing Valentine may take place in a classroom, a private home, a restaurant, a fitness center, an office, a store..…almost anywhere within reach of a short drive. eValentines are made only to those who live outside the Beaufort area. The Singing Valentine is unforgettable wherever it takes place!
Message Guidelines: Your Valentine card will include a brief message from you. Please write the message in the appropriate space below.
If you order the Valentine directly from a Harbormaster, pay the chorus member by cash or check made out to the Beaufort Harbormasters. Be sure to give him or her all the important information requested on the Singing Valentine Request Form!!
